Consignment

I think of making art as a way of giving shape to distant memories and obsessions. The process is intuitive and spontaneous, guided by the materials. I am inspired by the natural beauty of my surroundings and by the layers of history. My mixed media work begins with found elements: an object, papers, a piece of cloth, something that is evocative to me. Through a process of texturing, layering, painting, drawing, adding and subtracting, the work evolves.
