Karen and Bill Fenley

Proof of Life, June 2012

june2012

To the extent we have control over our life experience, we can shape the things and places
we leave behind. The work in this show is about functional forms that are no longer
being used. Evidence, such as these forms, are what archaeologists and biologists look
at to determine how a culture has functioned or an animal has survived.

Karen's images of tube worms, shells and kep represent some of the oldest life forms
in the ocean. Bill's images are of selected areas and items in a local scrap metal,
recycle pile.
