Susan Bridge-Mount

The necklaces below are constructed from Merino wool felt, leather cord and a rubber neck piece with a magnetic catch.

Cocoon Necklaces - These are made from silk cocoons (dead worm removed) that come from Indonesia in in their natural white form.  These are actually sold as "skin cleansers" - you wet the cocoon and put a finger tip inside,  and rub on your face.  I use various colors of fabric dye, submerge the cocoons in the dye mixture, and let them sit for awhile.  I remove the cocoons at various times to give a different tint in the color.
