I don’t actually have a single dedicated space for my work anymore. Years ago I had a whole building but that got repurposed. Now my work spaces are spread throughout the house and an out building.
There are work tables, a sewing table and materials shelves in the spare bedroom where I work most of the time. The dining table is also a work space except when there are special occasions. There are usually several projects going on at once.
My loom resides in a corner of the living room. It has 24 harnesses, two warp beams and an electronic harness lifting assist (saves stress on the knees). I enter a pattern plan into the computer which controls the sequence of harnesses to be lifted and I throw the shuttle.
Out in the back building there is a small room that used to be a photography studio but now it doubles as a work space with materials storage shelves. There are tables for making felt and a felt rolling machine. My newest machine is a little spin dryer that helps me extract water from the felt. Felt making is very water intensive. The rolling machine takes the work out of the rolling process.
