Fertile ground can be any substance or idea that lights the spark to become the vision that gets the work going. My work, no matter how abstract or familiar the forms, always has a narrative. In this show, I employ botanical imagery as a metaphor for all living things to explore the connection between fragility, beauty and temporality. Working with materials collected over time and with inspiration from early modernists painters, I spent the last two years identifying and celebrating the things I am surrounded by everyday that are my fertile ground.

There is a Second Saturday Meet the Artist July 12, 5-7pm. Gallery hours are Thursday through Monday 11-5pm.
