In September Partners Gallery presents a retrospective of work by Joan Burleigh. Burleigh has been living and making art on the Mendocino coast for more than 50 years. She has worked mainly with acrylic on paper. She exhibited with Partners Gallery for eight years. Now, the gallery is honoring her with a show of selected works from her lengthy career.
Of her work she says: “I paint to reach the place within me that is free of controls and boundaries; where, on a fortunate day, my spirit can soar!”
There is a Second Saturday Meet the Artist September 13, 5-7pm. Gallery hours are Thursday through Monday 11-5pm.
