Living on the Mendocino coast feeds my love of the land and sea. The experimental opportunities I find through printmaking excite me and draw me into layers of discovery I have not found with any other medium. The Solarplate process offers a safer alternative to the hazardous techniques of traditional etching. And when I need to venture out of my studio and out of my technical head, plein air watercolor painting becomes a delightful escape.
